The Transtheoretical Model was originally developed to help understand and predict how people change with regards to substance use and other problematic behaviors.  I came across this model when I decided to quit smoking many years ago.  It was critical for me to understand where I was in terms of motivation and planning.  This assessment will give you perspective on where you are on your journey and how to ready yourself.
